Can you believe it's been a whole year since we opened the doors to the Antibody Analytics Discovery Centre? We can't either! It feels like just yesterday that we were setting up our lab equipment and getting ready to take on this exciting new challenge. The 29th of May – 2nd of June marks ‘Discovery Week’ here at Antibody Analytics. A chance for us to celebrate as a team and promote discovery throughout the wider industry. Since cutting the ribbon on the Discovery Centre in May 2022, we've achieved some amazing milestones, and we're excited to share them with you.

From a seed to a forest: A year of exponential growth

Since opening our Discovery Centre, we've been able to expand our team and provide our clients with even better service. It's been amazing to watch our team grow by leaps and bounds.

With more hands on deck, 81 to be exact, we're able to take on more projects and deliver these more efficiently. Our clients have come to rely on us for high-quality service and quick turnaround times, and we're pleased to deliver on those expectations.

We're not stopping there! We're continuing to recruit throughout 2023 as we look to expand our team even further. We're always on the lookout for talented individuals who are passionate about developing antibody-based therapies and making a real difference in the world.

Revolutionising the study of antibody-targeted therapies: Say Hello to IndEx-2

We're particularly proud to have launched our in vitro cell-based platform, IndEx-2, which allows for the determination of the precise antigen density activation thresholds of targeted candidate immunotherapies. That's a mouthful, we know, but it's a game-changer!

When combined with our immuno-oncology primary cell assay services, IndEx-2 can help pre-clinical researchers better understand a targeted drug candidate's mechanism of action and safety profile. This is invaluable in the development of antibody-targeted therapies such as CAR-engineered cell therapies, bispecifics, multispecifics, immune cell engagers, monoclonal antibodies and ADCs.

With IndEx-2, we can provide our clients with even more detailed information about their drug candidates, allowing them to make more informed decisions and accelerate the drug development process. We believe that IndEx-2 is a game-changer for antibody-based therapy development, and we're proud to be leading the change. We can't wait to support the development of the next wave of incredible therapies that will progress to clinic faster as a result of this revolutionary platform.

Proudly Making Waves: An Award-Winning Year

Antibody Analytics is not only taking the world of antibody-based therapies by storm, but we're also making waves in the life sciences industry. We're excited to announce that since the opening of our Discovery Centre in Motherwell, we've been honoured with some pretty impressive awards.

We've been awarded a Gold Award in the North Lanarkshire Employee Charter for creating a positive and supportive work environment. We're also proud to have been named Life Science Company of the Year at the Made in Scotland Awards. This award recognises the most innovative and dynamic companies from across Scotland, and we're honoured to be counted among them. And last but not least, we took home the Innovation: Pharma Services and Drug Discovery Award at Scotland's Life Sciences Annual Awards. This award acknowledges our cutting-edge research and development efforts.

We're humbled and grateful for the recognition we've received and look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of what's possible in the field.

It's been an incredible 12 months since opening the Antibody Analytics Discovery Centre. We've grown, we've launched new services, and we've helped our clients take potentially life-saving therapies closer to the patients who need them. But we couldn't have done it without our amazing team and the support of our clients and partners.
